- How do I choose the correct bike chain lube?
- It depends on riding conditions and your bike type. For dry and dusty conditions, use our Dry Conditions Chain Lube. For mixed conditions where you may encounter mud or water, use our All Conditions Chain Lube.
- I have an electric bike. Which chain lube is best?
- Our All Conditions and Dry Conditions lubes will work. But we recommend our eBike Chain Lube. It’s specially formulated for extreme torque such as race day efforts and for eBikes and eMotos rides. Plus, it works as an electrical contact conditioner.
- How often do I need to re-apply lube to my chain? Is it long-lasting?
- When properly applied (see directions), our lubes will last 200+ miles between applications (depending on weather and riding conditions). Chain lubes will last longest in dry scenarios while wet and muddy conditions might require re-application.
- Do any of the chain lubes work on motorcycle chains?
- Our bike lubes are not formulated for the conditions and forces that a motorcycle chain endures. However, our Power Drive Chain Lube works well for light-duty eMotos.
- What makes Formula 100 lubes stand out?
- Our team of scientists has spent decades developing lubes to address riders’ needs. Our scientifically formulated chain lubes are proven in studies to not only simplify maintenance and extend your bike’s lifespan, but also improve performance.
