Overview
- Batteries : 1 CR2430 batteries required. (included)
- Built for hiking, camping and everyday outdoor exploration, the APACHE Series combines essential environmental sensors with practical timekeeping and activity functions in two case sizes.
- Calibrate the compass before first use or after significant changes in location or environment.
- Atmospheric Pressure Affects Altitude Readings
- Body heat can affect temperature readings while the watch is worn. For a more representative ambient reading, remove the watch and allow it to adjust to the surrounding environment.
- The high-contrast digital display provides clear visibility in bright outdoor conditions for quick, convenient reading.
- As daylight fades, the digital display remains available for checking essential information during evening outdoor activities.
- 1. Why does the display look darker in some lighting conditions?
- The negative digital display is designed for a subdued outdoor look, so visibility can vary with ambient light and viewing angle. In low-light conditions, press the LIGHT button to activate the EL backlight for easier reading.
- 2. Do the compass, altimeter and barometer need calibration?
- Yes. Calibrate the compass before first use and whenever direction readings appear inaccurate. Altitude readings are influenced by atmospheric pressure, so calibrating the altimeter with a known elevation can improve accuracy.
- 3.Why can the temperature or weather indication differ from actual conditions?
- Body heat can affect temperature readings. For a better ambient reading, remove the watch for a few minutes. Weather data is based on barometric pressure trends and should be used as a reference, not an exact forecast.
- 4.Is the APACHE difficult to set up? Do I need an app?
- No app or Bluetooth connection is required.
