• How does this weighted compression vest help?
• Like a cozy hug, this weighted vest wraps the body and provides gentle pressure and weight to help kids and adults with sensory needs feel calm and collected.
• Who is this product for?
• This gender neutral vest comes in various sizes for ages three to adult. The black vest is designed 1” longer than our red or navy weighted compression vests making it ideal for children or adults with a broader build.
• Is the vest adjustable?
• Yes! The vest comes with removable weights and an adjustable fit so you can easily customize it to your or your child' s needs.
• Does the vest come with removable weights?
• The vest includes four ¼ lb weights and two ½ lb weights. The total weight should never exceed 10% of the total body weight. Additional weights sold separately.
• What are the washing instructions?
• Remove all weights and adhere all closures before washing. Machine wash the vest in a cold, gentle cycle. Hang dry.
• Use with adult guidance. Never use to cover face or restrict child’s movement. User should be able to remove weighted clothing without help. Follow the age and weight guidelines stated on the product insert. Do not allow user to sleep with weighted clothing. Use weighted products with guidance from a therapist. Weights should be carefully and gradually adjusted for each person’s needs (10% of total body weight is a common standard. The total should never exceed 10-15% of total body weight regardless of the maximum weight the vest can hold).
