The beam has a lip that rests on the top surface of your stock, preventing the tool from rolling like many T-squares. Precision machined scribing guides are spaced every sixteenth-inch down the length of the blade. Just drop in the point of a mechanical pencil and scribe a perfectly parallel line by holding the pencil in one hand and sliding the T-square with the other. The two critical components are secured together with either 4 or 6 stainless steel screws (depending on which blade length you choose). A slight offset between the holes in the blade and the threads in the beam put the two under constant tension. This design delivers an angular precision of ±.02 degrees (.004” per foot). It delivers top notch performance yet allows the blade to be replaced should it be damaged.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTwo support lips machined into the beam prevent tipping and rolling. The blade has scribing guides every sixteenth-inch.
